Idyllic History

Here is a video for a nasheed by Mesut Kurtis. The director, Hani Osama has done a beautiful job capturing the vision Muslims have when we think about the idyllic growth of Islam vis-a-vis history. And who cannot love listening to a bit of the Burdah?

SKIP MY NEXT COMMENT UNTIL AFTER THE VIDEO IF YOU’RE LIKE MY BROTHER-IN-LAW WHO CLAIMS COMMONPLACER COMES FROM A FAMILY THAT ENJOYS SPOILING VIEWING PLEASURES BY GIVING AWAY STUFF.

* my only reservation about the video is that I wish they had used more diversity in cultures/ethnicities for the actors plus some non-niqabis. Now, that would be pure utopia.
